Adapted Baby-Led Weaning

This class is intended for babies following neurodivergent development

Does your baby have a diagnosis such as Down syndrome, Noonan syndrome, Williams syndrome, PWS, cleft palate or history of prematurity? Has your baby shown aversion to breast or bottle-feeding? Is there a family history of picky eating or difficulty in transitioning to solids? If you answered yes, then this class is for you!

Join me, Jill Rabin, speech pathologist, international board-certified lactation consultant and co-author of “Your Baby Can Self-Feed Too!” In this 120-minute virtual class, I will share all the information you will need to help prepare your baby for solids (this class is also available on-demand). Topics that will be covered: prerequisite skills needed prior to beginning solids, seating options, food size, shapes and textures to present, feeding items needed such as straws, cups, bibs and bridge devices, responsive feeding techniques, and how to use the Adapted Baby-Led Weaning Approach™ and baby-led weaning techniques with video examples. The goal of this class is to educate and empower parents of babies with feeding challenges so that they can assist their little ones in becoming safe, independent and intuitive eaters.
